Tell a family member about the pedometers we are using to track our steps this week! Explain how a pedometer works, and why we are wearing them this week. Make a prediction of how the number of your steps will change when we are at Cardel Place.

HELP! We require one volunteer per day to meet us at the swimming pool (or ride the bus with us).  You may arrive at the Village Square Leisure Center at 9:15 and leave at 10:00.  It is required by CBE that we have right ratio of volunteers to students to allow us to swim. Please let us know by Friday if you can join us.  Thank you!

Another fabulous week of learning is here!  Leaders of Learning you will be presenting your amazing Science Building Mechanisms with Electricity Projects to the rest of the school.  Be proud of the the rigorous work and learning you put into this project!  Please share with your parents whom you will be researching for your History of Canada's Identity Inquiry Project.  Be sure to tell them the reasons for your choice.

Tell a family member about our class read aloud, City of Ember. Compare a character from this story to a character from one of our other read aloud novels. How are these characters similar? How are they different? Be prepared to share your ideas in class tomorrow.

Happy New Year and welcome back Leaders of Learning!  We are very excited to start 2014 with some amazing learning experiences.  We will be swimming everyday from January 20th - 24th.  In February, for two weeks, we will move our learning to Cardel Place for Healthy Living School.
Our virtue for January is empathy. Think of a time that you demonstrated this virtue, either at school or at home, and be ready to share it tomorrow.
